Liviu Alexandru Dumitrescu (born 10 May 1988, Ploieşti) is a Romanian sprint canoeist who has competed since the late 2000s. Petre Dumitrescu
Petre Dumitrescu (; 18 February 1882 – 15 January 1950) was a Romanian general during World War II who led the Romanian Third Army on its campaign against the Red Army in the Eastern Front. Early life and military career Dumitrescu was born in Dobridor, Dolj County. He began his military training at the Artillery and Engineers Officers' School in 1901, graduating in 1903 with the rank of second lieutenant. He was promoted to lieutenant in 1906 and, five years later, to captain. That year, he was admitted into the Military Academy at Bucharest, graduating in 1913. When World War I started, Dumitrescu was a major. Following the war, he climbed higher and higher in the military hierarchy, becoming a lieutenant colonel in 1920, a brigadier general in 1930, and a major general in 1937. Between 1937 and the beginning of World War II, Dumitrescu served as a military attaché in both Paris and Brussels. Zoe Dumitrescu-Bușulenga (August 20, 1920 – May 5, 2006) was a Romanian comparatist and essayist. A native of the national capital Bucharest, she was educated at its main university, going on to become a professor there. Together with a focus on interdisciplinary studies, she was noted for devoting several studies to Mihai Eminescu. Meanwhile, Dumitrescu was a dignitary of the Romanian Communist Party. Following the Romanian Revolution, after several years spent in Rome, she retired to a monastery. Victor Dumitrescu (25 September 1924 – 15 March 1997) was a Romanian footballer who played as left back. Dumitrescu began his football career at the age of 10, in the neighbour city of Deva. He played ten years for Corvinul Deva, beginning as a youth and finishing as a senior. In 1946, he moved to Sebeş, playing well for Surianul, and after two years he signed with Flacăra Mediaş. After three years in Mediaş, Dumitrescu joined Steaua București. He played eight years for his side, being a part of Steaua's Golden Team of the 1950s. Ruxandra Dumitrescu (born April 20, 1977) is a retired volleyball player born in Galați, Romania. She competed with the Romania women's national volleyball team at the 1994 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Brazil. She is a naturalized Greek citizen, and competed with the Greece women's national volleyball team from Athens 2004 Olympic Games until 2009. She is 186 cm tall.
