Dublin Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition between the Intermediate Dublin Clubs. The finalists of this Championship qualify for the Dublin Senior Hurling B Championship the following season. Naomh Mearnóg CLG
Naomh Mearnóg is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Portmarnock, County Dublin, Ireland. The club was founded in 1975 and now fields a total of 35 teams in football, hurling, camogie and ladies' football. These include three adult football teams, two adult hurling teams, two adult camogie teams and an adult ladies' football team. They also cater for many juvenile teams. History Early years In the late 1920s and early 1930s, there were two grades of adult inter-club football: senior and junior. It was the same at inter-county level. However, the interest in inter-county football was nothing like it is nowadays, most of the focus was on the inter-club scene. In the late 1920s, there was a temporary break-up of Innisfails' junior football team in Balgriffin, and as a result it was decided to form a team in Portmarnock. Whitehall Colmcille (Irish: ''Fionnbhrú Colmcille'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based on Collins' Avenue in Dublin 9, Ireland. The Club has contributed in a big way to the success of various County Football teams and All Ireland titles producing many well known names. History Whitehall Gaels took over the lease Thorndale Tennis Club had with Dublin Corporation on Collins Avenue in 1966. Whitehall Gaels merged with Cumann Barra Colmcille in 1973 the objective being of strengthening the Hurling side of the Club, as Colmcille was basically a Hurling Club. Both clubs had senior officials linked to each other that made the amalgamation a smooth one. The Club has won Hurling and Football Championships since then. St Brigid's GAA Club (Irish: Cumann Naomh Bríd) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Castleknock, Fingal, Ireland which serves Castleknock, Clonsilla, Blanchardstown and Corduff. Its main grounds are at Russell Park, and it also has grounds in Castleknock at Beech Park and College Fort. The club supports 70 teams, from nursery level (four- to seven-year-olds) to adults, in hurling, football, camogie, women's football, handball and badminton. Lucan Sarsfields GAA
Lucan Sarsfields (Irish: ''Sáirséalaigh Leamhcáin'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lucan, Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1886, making it one of the oldest GAA clubs in Dublin. Sarsfields were one of 16 teams which contested the Dublin Senior Championship in 1887. They were also involved in the Senior Championship of 1892, and the club has fielded Gaelic football, hurling and camogie teams ever since. Early success Lucan won the Intermediate Football League in the 1904–05 season. It is reported that they did this with the help of five players from Balbriggan. The story goes that in 1902 a team call Balbriggan Wanderers won the Intermediate League and then for some reason or other went out of existence in 1904. One of the players on that team was a man named Paddy Richardson, who was a fish merchant and regularly attended the Dublin market. Craobh Chiaráin is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Donnycarney, County Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Craobh have won the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship on five occasions, in 1971, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2006. The club was founded in 1962 when two existing clubs, Craobh Rua and Naomh Chiaráin, were amalgamated. 2006 Craobh beat Ballyboden St Endas in the Dublin senior hurling final at Parnell Park by a scoreline of 2–10 to 2-08. Naomh Olaf is a Gaelic Athletic Association club which was founded in 1981 to provide facilities for encouraging the sporting abilities of the people of the developing parish of Balally in south County Dublin, Ireland. A club house was built and players were recruited from around the area, most of them coming from the local schools of St Olaf's, Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille, St Benildus College, and St Tiernan's. In recent years more and more players are coming from the Leopardstown and Stepaside areas. Location The club is located on the Sandyford Industrial Estate in Dublin and recruits players from all around the Sandyford and Balally area, including Wedgewood and The Gallops all the way up to Stepaside. St Patrick's are a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Chapelizod and Palmerstown, South Dublin. History The club was founded in 1961 and took its name because that was the Patrician year. The club colours came about as one of the founders, Peter Kavanagh, had two sets of jerseys, one green and the other red. Originally the main colours were to be green and white (the colours of Saint Patrick and the shamrock) but because neighbouring clubs Round Towers and Lucan Sarsfields used green and white, it was decided to use red and white and keep the green as second colours. The first match to ever take place was the U13’s against Round Towers of Clondalkin which John Daly (founder and current club President) refereed. Trinity Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Donaghmede in Dublin, Ireland. Trinity Gaels were founded in 1975 to cater for the growing population in the Donaghmede area. The club got their name from the local Roman Catholic parish name, the parish of the Holy Trinity. Gaels won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 1994 and therefore qualified to senior status. For the past few seasons Gaels have been playing in Division 1 of the league. Naomh Fionnbarra GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in based in Cabra, in the north city area of Dublin. The club has adult football, hurling and camogie teams. The Naomh Fionnbarra Hurling Football Comogie club was founded in 1945. The club has been synonymous with Gaelic Games and Irish culture for 65 years in the Cabra Area. The club was set up to promote and develop the Irish culture, language, and heritage through the medium of the GAA. Kevin's Hurling Club
Kevin's is a hurling club based in Dolphin's Barn in Dublin's south inner city, Ireland. History Kevin's began promoting hurling and Gaelic football in Dublin's south inner city in 1902. It evolved from the Craobh Chaoimhín of Conradh na Gaeilge. The founder members included Joe O'Neill and Jim Maguire. Information on the formative years is sparse, but Harry O'Kelly, a staunch club member, was believed to be of central importance to the club at this time. The club attained senior status in 1910, in the mid-1920s and again in the late 1930s and enjoyed sporadic success at senior, intermediate, junior and juvenile levels.
