Dubai International Convention Centre
The Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre was built in 1979 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The complex comprises the original 39-story office tower, the World Trade Centre Residence, eight exhibition halls, the Dubai International Convention Centre, which can accommodate more than 4500 delegates in its multi-purpose hall when set in auditorium style, a business club, and residential apartments with a leisure club. The DICC has 35,000 square metres of adjoining exhibition space. Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum ( ar, محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم, links=no; ; born 15 July 1949) is the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, vice president, prime minister, and minister of defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as the ruler of Dubai. He is the third son of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, former vice president of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. Mohammed succeeded his brother Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Maktoum as vice president and ruler following the latter's death in 2006. A billionaire, Mohammed generates most of his income from real estate and is described as "one of the world's most prominent real estate developers". The Dubai World Trade Centre Residence is a 41-floor tower in the Dubai International Convention Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Opened in 2008, World Trade Centre Residence is managed by Jumeirah Living. Tony Kettle
Tony Kettle is a British architect best known for designing the Falkirk Wheel in Scotland and leading the RMJM team at the Lakhta Centre, Gazprom Headquarters in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Kettle founded his own international architecture firm, Kettle Collective, in 2012, with former RMJM Managing Principal Colin Bone. Before founding his own firm, Kettle was the Group Design Principal of global firm RMJM, which he joined in 1989. During his time there he acted as UK Director, European Director, and finally International Group Design Director where he would oversee design collaboration throughout regions and sectors.
