Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Arlete Salles
Arlete Sales Lopes, more known as Arlette Salles (born Paudalho, 17 June 1942) is a Brazilian actress. Biography Born in the interior of Pernambuco, she was married between 1958 and 1970 to the actor Lucio Mauro, with whom she has two children: Alexander Barbalho (actor) and Gilberto Salles (filmmaker). Her grandchildren are actor Pedro Medina and Joan. She divorced Lucio Mauro and at the end of the 1970s, and was married to actor Tony Tornado. Arlete Salles was the joint winner of the São Paulo Association of Art Critics Award for Best Actress in 1996. After battling cancer, she returned to TV in 2016 as a comical maid Consuelo in '' Babilônia''. Glória Maria Cláudia Pires de Morais (; born 23 August 1963) is a Brazilian actress. Christiane Maria dos Santos Torloni (born 18 February 1957) is a Brazilian actress. Biography and career Her first appearance was on the Brazilian TV network Rede Globo. Heloísa Helena (28 October 1917 – 19 June 1999) was a Brazilian actress and singer. Her real name was ''Heloísa Helena Almeida Gama de Magalhães'' or ''Heloisa Helena de Almeida Lima''. Cecil Aldary Portocarrero Thiré (28 May 1943 – 9 October 2020) was a Brazilian television, film and stage actor, and director. Life and career Thiré was born in Rio de Janeiro, the only son of actress Tônia Carrero and artist Carlos Arthur Thiré. Flávio Migliaccio
Flávio Migliaccio (26 August 1934 – 4 May 2020) was a Brazilian actor, film director and screenwriter. He appeared in more than 90 films and television shows between 1958 and 2019. His 1962 film ''The Beggars'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. His elder sister Dirce Migliaccio was also an actress. Migliaccio was found dead by his property caretaker at his farm in Rio Bonito, Rio de Janeiro, on 4 May 2020, aged 85. According to Military Police of Rio de Janeiro State, he left a suicide note and hanged himself.
