Du Jing (; born 23 June 1984) is a former China, Chinese badminton player from Anshan, Liaoning. Career A doubles specialist, Du and her regular partner Yu Yang (badminton), Yu Yang have steadily emerged as one of the world's elite women's doubles teams since 2004. They confirmed this status by winning the gold medal at the Badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Olympics in Beijing over South Korea's Lee Kyung-won and Lee Hyo-jung (badminton), Lee Hyo-jung. 2006 Thomas & Uber Cup
The 2006 Thomas & Uber Cup was held from 28 April to 7 May in Sendai and Tokyo, Japan. It was the 24th tournament of Thomas Cup and 21st tournament of Uber Cup, men's and women's badminton tournaments. Sendai hosted all of the group stage and play-off matches while Tokyo hosted the event starting from the quarter finals until the final. This was first time the Thomas & Uber Cup was played with a three-game 21-point scoring system. China emerged as champions of both tournaments after beating Denmark and Netherlands in the men's and women's competitions respectively. Yu Yang (; born 7 April 1986) is a retired Chinese badminton player specializing in doubles. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, three time World Champion and four time Asian Champion.
