Du Hengyan
Du Hengyan (; born July 1951) is a retired general ('' shangjiang'') in the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He served as Deputy Director of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission. Biography Du joined the PLA as a serviceman in 1969, and joined the Communist Party of China a year later. Wei served in the Shenyang Military Region, then the Beijing Military Region. In 1996 he became the deputy political commissar of the 28th Group Army. In 1998 he was awarded the rank of major general. In 2000 he became political commissar of the 65th Group Army. In 2005 he became head of discipline and deputy political commissar of the Jinan Military Region. In 2007 he was promoted to lieutenant general. In 2010 he became political commissar of the Jinan Military Region. He attained the rank of General in July 2012, also he was made Deputy Director of the Political Work Department in the same year. Shenyang Military Region
The Shenyang Military Region was one of seven military regions for the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It has command and control of military and armed police forces in the three northeast provinces of Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Liaoning, which also form Military Districts. This region is now superseded by the Northern Theater Command. The Shenyang Military Region was left with unchanged boundaries since the late 1960s. It is bordered internally by the Beijing Military Region to the west. Externally, it is bordered by North Korea to the south east and the Russian Far East to the north. Prior to the Cultural Revolution, military region commanders tended to remain in post for long periods. As the PLA took a stronger role in politics, this began to be seen as something of a threat to party (or, at least, civilian) control of the military. The 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party was elected by the 18th National Congress on 15 November 2012, and sat in plenary sessions until the communing of the 19th National Congress in 2017. It was formally proceeded by the 17th Central Committee. The committee is composed of full members and alternate members. A member has voting rights, while an alternate does not. If a full member is removed from the CC the vacancy is then filled by an alternate member at the next committee plenum — the alternate member who received the most confirmation votes in favour is highest on the order of precedence. The 81st Group Army (), formerly the 65th Group Army, is a military formation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Ground Forces (PLAGF). The 81st Group Army is one of twelve total group armies of the PLAGF, the largest echelon of ground forces in the People's Republic of China, and one of three assigned to the nation's Central Theater Command. History The 65th Group Army traces its lineage to its original incarnation, the 5th Column of the North China Field Army established sometime around 1946.
