The Drysdale Football and Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Hawks'', is an Australian rules football and netball club that plays in the Bellarine Football League and situated in the township of Drysdale, in the centre of the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. The clubs plays its home games at Drysdale Recreation Reserve, Drysdale. Bellarine Football League
The Bellarine Football Netball League (BFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball competition based in the Bellarine Peninsula region of Victoria, Australia. Established in 1971 as the Bellarine & District Football League, the competition was formed out of the ashes of the Polwarth Football League, which had six of its former teams join. The competition was renamed the Bellarine Football League in 1986, and finally the Bellarine Football Netball League in 2011 when the local netball competition was administratively aligned with the football competition for the first time. Prior to 2011, netball clubs competed in a competition overseen by the Bellarine District Netball Association. The Adelaide Crows (officially the Adelaide Football Club) are a professional Australian rules football team based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1990. The Crows has fielded a men's team in the Australian Football League (AFL) since 1991, and a women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition since 2017. Melbourne Vixens is an Australian netball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. Since 2017 they have represented Netball Victoria in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. Emily Mannix (born 16 April 1994) is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for the Melbourne Vixens. Early life Mannix attended Geelong Grammar School on a sports scholarship and played netball for Drysdale in her junior years. The Greater Western Sydney Giants (officially the Greater Western Sydney Football Club and colloquially known as the GWS Giants or simply GWS) are a professional Australian rules football team based in Sydney Olympic Park, which represents the Greater Western Sydney region of New South Wales and Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Connor Idun (born 29 July 2000) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Connor Idun was born in London to an Australian mother and a father from Ghana and was raised in Essex to the age of 4. As a child he moved with his family from London to Sydney before relocating to Victoria. He began playing Australian rules football at the age of 12 in Geelong for Drysdale Football Club juniors and completed his VCE at Christian College. Adam Scott Richardson (born 20 August 1974) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for West Adelaide Bloods, West Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and Adelaide Football Club, Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL). Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind").
