Druids United F.C. were a football club based in village of Cefn Mawr, Wrexham Wales. The club was formed in August 1927 as after the amalgamation between Druids F.C. and Acrefair United F.C.. The club played at two previous grounds before redeveloping a site in the heart of Cefn Mawr, known as Plaskynaston Lane, where football is still being played by the successor club Cefn Druids A.F.C. Plaskynaston Lane is a demolished football stadium in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, Wales. It was the home stadium of Cefn Druids A.F.C. of the Cymru Alliance. The stadium held 2,000 spectators. The last game played at the ground was the Tony Collins Memorial Cup Final U12, between Llay FC and Marford & Gresford FC, refereed by Lewys Evans in memory of a former Cefn Druids A.F.C. player. The Cymru Alliance League (known for sponsorship reasons as Huws Gray Alliance) was a football league in north and central Wales which formed the second level of the Welsh football league system. From the 2019/20 season onwards, it was replaced by the Cymru North. If the team which finished top of the league held a Domestic Licence, it could apply for promotion to the Welsh Premier League and was replaced by one of the bottom two teams in the Welsh Premier League. If the league champions did not hold a Domestic Licence, then the team which finished second, if in possession of a Domestic Licence, could be promoted instead. Farrar Road Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Bangor, Wales. The site of the ground is now covered by an Asda supermarket. From 1920, the year it was opened, until 2011 it was used mostly for football matches and was the home of Bangor City F.C. The stadium held 1,500 people, with 700 seats. The FAW Welsh Trophy is a knock-out football competition contested annually by teams from Wales and the borders. The Football Association of Wales is the organising body of this competition, which has been run every year since its inception in 1890–91 (except during the two World Wars) for clubs competing in the lower echelons of the Welsh football league system. It was known as the Welsh Junior Cup until 1902, when it became the Welsh Amateur Cup, a title it held until 1974, when it was renamed the FAW Intermediate Cup.
