Drew Naymick
Andrew "Drew" Naymick (born February 18, 1985) is an American professional basketball player for Link Tochigi Brex of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball for Michigan State. College career Over his first two years with Michigan State, Naymick appeared in 51 games as a reserve. He started the first seven games of the 2005–06 season before sitting out the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury, earning a medical redshirt. He returned to the line-up in 2006–07 and appeared in 35 games, starting the final 11 contests of the season. As a senior in 2007–08, he appeared in 36 games, starting 23, including the final 22 contests of the season. He finished his college career as Michigan State's career leader in blocked shots with 134. Professional career On July 20, 2008, Naymick signed a one-year contract with Polish team Kotwica Kołobrzeg. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. In the 1950s and 1960s, George Mikan and Bill Russell were centerpieces of championship dynasties and defined early prototypical centers. The 2014–15 Greek Basket League was the 75th season of the Greek Basket League, the highest tier professional basketball league in Greece. 2017 MSBL Season
The 2017 MSBL season was the 29th season of the Men's State Basketball League (SBL). The regular season began on Friday 17 March, with round 1 seeing a 2016 grand final rematch between the Cockburn Cougars and Joondalup Wolves. The 2017 MSBL All-Star Game was played on 5 June at Bendat Basketball Centre – the home of basketball in Western Australia. The regular season ended on Saturday 29 July. The finals began on Saturday 5 August and ended on Saturday 2 September, when the Perth Redbacks defeated the Wolves in the MSBL Grand Final. State Basketball League
NBL1 West, formerly the State Basketball League (SBL), is a semi-professional basketball league in Western Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition. In 2020, Basketball Western Australia partnered with the National Basketball League (NBL) to bring NBL1 to Western Australia. NBL1 replaced the former SBL to create more professional pathways and opportunities for males and females playing basketball in Western Australia. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm team, farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005.
