Drax Project
Drax Project is a New Zealand pop and R&B band that formed in Te Aro, Wellington in 2014. Recording a mix of jazz, R&B and pop music, the band came to prominence in 2017 with the single "Woke Up Late", which was certified triple platinum by RIANZ while the 2019 version featuring Hailee Steinfeld was certified triple platinum in Australia. Background Most of Drax Project's members went to school together in Porirua and began as buskers in Central Wellington in 2013, composed of Shaan Singh on saxophone and Matt Beachen on drums (the origin of the band's name is a portmanteau of 'drums' and 'sax'). Drax Project mostly performed pop song covers while busking at Courtenay Place, Wellington and performing at local bars and events. The B96 Pepsi SummerBash is an annual concert typically held on a Saturday in June, in the Chicago area. First held in 1992 and presented by Chicago radio station B96, the concert has been title-sponsored by Pepsi in recent years. In 2016, the event was held at Allstate Arena in the suburb of Rosemont. Previously, the event was held at Toyota Park in Bridgeview from 2006 to 2015. In 2006, the SummerBash was the first non-soccer event held at the stadium. The Melodrama World Tour was the second concert tour by New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde, undertaken in support of her second studio album, '' Melodrama'' (2017). Lorde headlined several music festivals before commencing the tour, and went on to communicate frequently with stage designer Es Devlin to plan the show's design.
