Drain The Oceans
''Drain the Oceans'' is an Australian and British Television documentary, documentary television series that premiered on 28 May 2018 on National Geographic (U.S. TV channel), National Geographic. The 25-part factual series is hosted by Russell Boulter, and explores shipwrecks, treasure and sunken cities using Underwater archaeology, underwater scanning system, scientific data, and art digital recreations. Andrew Ogilvie from Electric Pictures and Crispin Sadler from Mallinson Sadler Productions produced the series for National Geographic. ''Drain The Oceans'' was preceded by similar National Geographic productions: ''Drain the Great Lakes'', ''Drain the Titanic'' and ''Drain the Bermuda Triangle''. Russell Boulter
Russell Boulter (born 7 April 1963 in Liverpool) is an English actor and documentary narrator. He is a communications coach. Career As a teenager he was one of the original members of the Concrete Theatre Company which toured several theatre productions across the North West of England in pubs, schools and theatres. He played the Kid in ''Gimme Shelter'', Mark in ''Kennedy's Children'', and starred in ''Sam o Shanker'', ''The Puny Little Life Show'', ''Steve Vortex and the Land Beyond Time'', ''So You Think You're Supposed to Win?'', the 1984 ''Minus 2 Show'' and ''The Fosdyke Saga''. Underwater archaeology is archaeology practiced underwater. As with all other branches of archaeology, it evolved from its roots in pre-history and in the classical era to include sites from the historical and industrial eras. Its acceptance has been a relatively late development due to the difficulties of accessing and working underwater sites, and because the application of archaeology to underwater sites initially emerged from the skills and tools developed by shipwreck salvagers.
