Drag/Helland Church ( no, Drag/Helland kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Hamarøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Drag. It is the church for the Drag/Helland parish which is part of the Ofoten prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The brown, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1972 using plans drawn up by the architect Åge Iversen. The church seats about 100 people. Árran is the Lule Sámi center in the village of Drag in Hamarøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The center was established in 1994 to foster and promote the Lule Sámi language and culture. It does this by arranging on-site and video conference courses in Lule Sámi, publishing books, and doing research. The center has a museum, a souvenir shop, and a Lule Sámi day-care center on its premises. One of the major projects that it was involved with was the Lule Sámi on-line coursSámastaand soon it will be publishing a Norwegian–Lule Sámi dictionary. Narvik is a town and the administrative centre of Narvik Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The town is located along the Ofotfjorden in the Ofoten region. The town lies on a peninsula located between the Rombaken fjord and the Beisfjorden. The fjord is the border between Narvik Municipality and Hamarøy Municipality. The island of Hulløya is located about halfway through the fjord, right before the fjord splits in to several smaller branches. The Tysfjorden is the deepest fjord in Northern Norway reaching to below sea level near Hulløya. The long fjord stretches southwards from the Ofotfjorden near the village of Korsnes all the way to the village of Hellmobotn, a point that is only about from the border with Sweden. There is no bridge or tunnel crossing the fjord and there are no roads going around it either, so the ferry is the only way to travel past the fjord without going through Sweden.
