Doug Moreau
Douglas Paul Moreau (born February 15, 1945) is a former American football tight end in the American Football League and current broadcaster along with being a literature teacher. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the sixth round of the 1966 AFL Draft. He played college football at LSU. Broadcasting career Doug Moreau worked as both an LSU football radio analyst and sideline reporter from 1972 to 1981. From 1982 through 1987, he was the color analyst for LSU football games on TigerVision. He returned to the radio booth as color analyst in 1988. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. In some systems, the tight end will merely act as a sixth offensive lineman, rarely going out for passes.
