Doug Bartlett
Doug Bartlett was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s and 1940s. He played for Eastern Suburbs in the NSWRL competition during the club's second golden era where they won 4 premierships in 6 years and 5 premierships in total from 1935 to 1945. Playing career Bartlett made his first grade debut for Easts against St George at the Earl Park, Arncliffe in Round 8 1938. This would be his only appearance for the club that year and was not included in the grand final team which lost to Canterbury-Bankstown. In 1940, Bartlett played at fullback in the 1940 NSWRL grand final against Canterbury-Bankstown. The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. St George Dragons
The St. George Dragons is an Australian rugby league football club from St George District in Sydney, New South Wales that played in the top level New South Wales competition and Australian Rugby League competitions from the 1921 until the 1997 ARL season, as well as the unified 1998 National Rugby League season. On 23 September 1998, the club formed a joint venture with the Illawarra Steelers, creating the St. George Illawarra Dragons team which competed in the 1999 NRL season and continues to compete in the league today. Earl Park, Arncliffe
Earl Park is the name of a former sports field in the Sydney suburb of Arncliffe. From 1925 to 1939 it was the site of New South Wales Rugby Football League Premiership club, St. George's home ground and headquarters. The ground was provided by a club benefactor named Lancelot Lewis Earl (1862-1938). Lancelot Earl owned and lived on the Earl Park estate until his death in 1938. The estate was sold in 1940 and a factory was built on the site. St. George The St George Dragons played their home games at Earl Park from 1925 until 1939 in the New South Wales Rugby Football League Premiership. Earl Park was situated opposite the Arncliffe Railway Station, and was built on the site that one was a flourishing market garden. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney.
