Double Happiness II
Double Happiness () is a Chinese drama serial on MediaCorp Channel 8 in Singapore which was screened in 2004 and ended in Jan 2005. It consists two parts, with 71 episodes in this part of the show. It is about a family who sells fish and chips in a renowned restaurant in East Coast Road called Happy Fish. It stars Ivy Lee , Xie Shaoguang , Edmund Chen , Vivian Lai & Zhang Wei as the casts for the second installment. The restaurant has its ups and downs, but eventually it will come out strong, but not without tragedies and lessons learned. It is the sequel to Double Happiness In 2007 MediaCorp sold its rights to Chinese broadcaster CCTV8 and it was broadcast in China in 5 parts. It also had a rerun on Channel 8 in 2010 on weekdays at 4.00am, 2013 on weekdays at 5.30pm and the latest in 2020 on weekends at 7.30am. Ivy Lee (actress)
Ivy Lee (; born 16 July 1973) is a Singaporean former actress and host. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1993 to 2007. Early life and career Lee graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Biomedical in 1993. The same year, she joined TCS (predecessor of MediaCorp) after winning the biannual Star Search and clinching the "Miss Photogenic" title at the same contest. At the Star Awards 2006, Lee was awarded the Best Actress award for her role as a lawyer in the drama serial ''Family Matters''. Before that, she was also named the ''Best Actress'' another two times; the first in 2000, and then in 2004. Rayson Tan
Rayson Tan (; born 12 January 1965) is a Singaporean actor. Career Before joining MediaCorp, Tan worked as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines. In 1990, he emerged as the 2nd Runner-Up in Singapore's Star Search Singapore talent competition. He has worked on many different roles and hosted many TV programmes, including the role of Singaporean war hero Lim Bo Seng in the 1997 WWII drama series ''The Price of Peace'' and the host for ''PSC Night'' in 2006. The Star Awards for Best Supporting Actor is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994. Star Awards 2005
Star Awards 2005 was the 12th Star Awards ceremony, held on 4 December 2005. It was part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. Following MediaCorp's merger with SPH MediaWorks on 1 January 2005, the nominees included artistes from the former SPH MediaWorks Channel U, many of whom were former employees of MediaCorp and its predecessor Television Corporation of Singapore. MediaCorp TV Channel 8 broadcast the awards ceremony from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm while SPH MediaWorks Channel U (now MediaCorp TV Channel U), aired the ceremony for the first time and began broadcasting the ceremony at 7:30 pm. Prior to the actual ceremony, a separate awards ceremony and gala was held at The Fullerton Hotel in which technical category awards (e.g. Best Director, Best Screenplay, etc.) and the Young Talent Award (child actors) were given out. The Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit in the media organisation Mediacorp of Singapore where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. Brandon Wong (; born 16 September 1971) is a Malaysian born Singaporean actor. He was born in Malaysia. He is able to speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Cantonese. Moses Lim (born 12 December 1949) is a Singaporean actor, television host, comedian and food connoisseur, best known for playing Tan Ah Teck in the Singaporean sitcom ''Under One Roof (Singapore TV series), Under One Roof (1995 - 2003)''. Yao Wenlong (, born 14 November 1970) is a Singapore based Malaysian actor. Chen Tianwen
Chen Tianwen (born 28 March 1963) is a Singaporean actor. Career Chen was educated at the now-defunct Serangoon Garden Secondary Technical School. He joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now Mediacorp) after completing the 5th artiste drama training class and made his debut in 1984. Jeff Wang
Jeff Wang () is a Taiwanese actor and television host. He was previously contracted to MediaCorp and was based in Singapore for over a decade. Hong Huifang (born Ang Hwee Fong on 7 January 1961) is a Singaporean actress.
