Dos por Dos (transl: Two by two) is a Philippine national radio program. It was first aired over DZMM-AM from April 24, 2000, to May 5, 2020, and was simulcast on its sister cable television channel from its launch in March 12, 2007, until July 31, 2020. It resumed airing over DZRH and DZRH News Television on August 31, 2020. Created by Angelo Palmones, the program is hosted by Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja. History DZMM: 2000–2020 ''Dos por Dos'' was the brainchild of then-DZMM manager Angelo Palmones. The program name was derived from the Filipino slang term for the length and width of a wooden jack. Network promotional material touted its hard-hitting commentary format as being likened to the strength of the jack's striking when it is being utilized for construction. ''Kabayan'' (KApangyarihan ng mamamayan, BAlita at talakaYAN; ) is the longest-running radio program hosted by Noli de Castro that aired from 1986 to 2001, from 2010 to 2021 and from 2021 to present on DZMM and its television counterpart TeleRadyo. It is also simulcast on ABS-CBN and on Kapamilya Channel since 2020. History ''Kabayan'' (Kapangyarihan ng Mamamayan, Balita at Talakayan) premiered in late 1986 on DZMM-AM with Noli de Castro, coinciding with his move from late-afternoons to early mornings after ''DZMM Balita'' (renamed ''Radyo Patrol Balita''). Ricardo "Ricky" Fua Lo (April 21, 1946 – May 4, 2021) was a Filipino entertainment writer and commentator, and TV host. The ABS-CBN franchise renewal controversy is a national dispute in the Philippines regarding the renewal of the congressional franchise that would have allowed Philippine media network ABS-CBN to continue broadcasting. Disputes between the government of President Rodrigo Duterte and ABS-CBN arose on the terms and conditions of the franchise renewal agreement. Alvin Elchico (; born January 30, 1974) is a Filipino field reporter, newscaster and television host working for ABS-CBN and DZMM. A business reporter early in his career, he was the sole journalist able to report from inside the Oakwood Premier building during the Oakwood mutiny in July 2003.
