Dorotea Municipality
Dorotea Municipality (; sma, Kraapohken tjïelte) is a municipality in Västerbotten County in northern Sweden. Its seat is located in Dorotea. When the first local government acts were implemented in Sweden in 1863 Dorotea parish was made a rural municipality. In 1974 it was merged into Åsele Municipality. Already in 1980 it was split off, forming a new Dorotea Municipality. It is the third least populated municipality of Sweden. Locality There is only one locality (or urban area) in Dorotea Municipality: Economy Amongst the industries in the municipality is one of the biggest caravan manufacturers in Scandinavia, ''Polarvagnen'', now known as ''SoliferPolar'' as it has merged with Solifer. Strömsund Municipality
Strömsund Municipality (, ) is a municipality in Jämtland County in northern Sweden. Its seat is located in Strömsund. The nearest larger city is Östersund, the provincial capital of Jämtland, which is located approximately 100 km to the south. History Strömsund Municipality was formed in 1974 through the amalgamation of the former municipalities of Fjällsjö, Frostviken, Hammerdal and Ström. The most populous locality in the area, Strömsund, was chosen as administrative centre, and it also gave its name to the new entity. Sollefteå Municipality ( sv, Sollefteå kommun) is a Swedish municipality in Västernorrland County. Its seat is located in Sollefteå. The former ''City of Sollefteå'' (instituted in 1917) was amalgamated with the surrounding entities in 1974 to form the present municipality. It consists of fifteen original (1863) units. Historically, the name is found as early as the 13th century in the form of the Latin ''De Solatum'', which would translate to "The Sunny Place" (or so). Vilhelmina Municipality
Vilhelmina Municipality (; sma, Vualtjeren tjïelte) is a municipality in Västerbotten County in northern Sweden. Its seat is located in Vilhelmina. History In 1804 the parish of Volgsjö was renamed Vilhelmina in honour of Queen Frederica Dorothea Wilhelmina of Sweden. In 1947 the locality Vilhelmina was detached from the rural municipality with the same name, forming the market town (''köping'') of Vilhelmina. The two entities were reunited in 1965. Geography Like the rest of northern Sweden (''Norrland''), it is scarcely populated due to its inhospitable conditions and cold climate, but is superb for those who like wildlife and untouched nature. The village of Malgovik, about 20 km north of Vilhelmina, holds the record for the lowest temperature ever recorded in Sweden. Sollefteå
Sollefteå () is a locality and the seat of Sollefteå Municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden with 8,562 inhabitants in 2010. The earliest written account on Sollefteå is found in a script dating back to 1270. During this time the name of the village was given as De Solatum - a name that can be interpreted as a composition of ''Sol'' (sun) and ''at'' (property) i.e. literally The sunlit region. ''De Solatum'' also can be interpreted as desolation, which means loneliness or remoteness (see Remote and isolated community). With Sollefteå being located at the lowest rapids of the Ångermanälven thereby making it the last outpost to which it was possible to sail. The village developed into a municipality.
