Dorina Neave, Lady Neave (1880–1955) was the writer of three books about Turkey. Life In Turkey Born Dorina Lockhart Clifton, she was taken by her father, George H. Clifton, to the Ottoman Empire in her early years, as he worked for the Supreme Consular Court there. They resided in the "Edip Efendi Yali", one of the "water mansions" of Istanbul built on the shores of the Bosphorus in the Tulip period. She wrote three books linked to her time in Turkey. ''Twenty-six Years on the Bosphorus'' and ''Romance of the Bosphorus'' (a "literary classic") are reminiscences of her life in Istanbul during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, while ''Remembering Kut'' is an account of the devastating Siege of Kut during the First World War on the Middle Eastern theatre of World War I, Turkish Front. Dorina Böczögő (born 15 February 1992 in Orosháza) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She was a member of the team who won bronze at the 2020 European Championships. Career 2007–2008 At the 2007 World Championships, Böczögő finished 51st in the all-around with a total score of 55.150. As one of the top nine athletes from a country that had not qualified through team placement, she earned a spot at the 2008 Summer Olympics. At the Olympics, Böczögő finished 52nd in the all-around with a total score of 54.450. She finished 12th on vault, and was just 0.013 away from being a reserve for the vault final. Dorina Mihai (born 1 June 1981) is a Romanian sabre fencer, world champion in 2003. Biography Mihai took up fencing in primary school on the advice of a teacher, who directed her to foil. Disappointed not to earn any title in eleven years of practice, she thought of giving up, but eventually decided to try sabre, a weapon in which she quickly obtained results. 47th in world rankings before the event, she reached the final of the 2003 World Fencing Championships in Havana after defeating Cuba's Ana Faez Miclin in the quarter-finals, then Italy's Gioia Marzocca. She met reigning world champion Tan Xue of China and defeated her by a single hit to win the world title. Dorina Szekeres (born July 30, 1992 in Zalaegerszeg) is a former Hungarian swimmer, who specialized in the backstroke and IM events. She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in sports marketing and management. She is currently the general manager of Team Iron, founding member of the International Swimming League. Swimming career Szekeres is a three-time Hungarian national champion in the 200m backstroke event.
