Doonan is a rural residential locality split between the Sunshine Coast Region and the Shire of Noosa, both in Queensland, Australia. In the , Doonan had a population of 3,459 people. Geography The northern part is within the local government area of Shire of Noosa and the southern part is within Sunshine Coast Region; between 2008 and 2013 it was entirely within Sunshine Coast Region. Lone Tree Hill is on the western edge of the locality (), rising to above sea level. Mitchell Hill is in the west of the locality () rising to above sea level. It was named after brothers Harold (1890-1966) and Allan Mitchell, who farmed the area from the Noosa Valley Golf Club through to Sunrise Road. The Sunshine Coast is a peri-urban region in South East Queensland, Australia. It is the district defined in 1967 as "the area contained in the Shires of Landsborough, Maroochy and Noosa, but excluding Bribie Island". Located north of the centre of Brisbane in South East Queensland, on the Coral Sea coastline, its urban area spans approximately of coastline and hinterland from Pelican Waters to Tewantin. Richard James Warren (12 March 1869 – 5 August 1940) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. He was born at Barkstead, a small town near Ballarat in Victoria, the son of Humphrey Warren and his wife Fanny (née Eldridge). Harry Frederick Walker (15 April 1873 – 23 October 1950) was an Australian company director and member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Walker was born in Gympie, Queensland, to parents William Henry Walker and his wife Charlotte Caroline (née Stocker) and was educated at One Mile State School, Monkland State School and the local Grammar School. He was a miner and engine-driver in 1890 and in 1897 was part of the Light Horse Jubilee Contingent in London. He fought in the Boer War and by 1906 was the chairman of the Murarrie Bacon Factory and a director of the Wide Bay Cooperative Dairy Co. Tewantin ( ) is a rural town and locality in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. In the , Tewantin had a population of 10,920 people. Tewantin was the original settlement in the Noosa region and is one of its three major centres today. History The name ''Tewantin'' is an anglicised version of the Aboriginal name for the area, ''dauwadhum'', meaning place of dead logs, because of the sawmill there. Tewantin was originally a timber town. In 1869, Tewantin was the river port for the Noosa area. In 1871, Clarendon Stuart surveyed a town site for the Tewantin settlement. Eumundi is a rural town and locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Eumundi had a population of 2,221 people. Eumundi is very popular on the coast for its bi-weekly farmers' markets. The marketplace is full of locally-made produce, which has made Eumundi and the surrounding area a haven for small businesses.
