Donny Toia
Donald Austin "Donny" Toia (born May 28, 1992) is an American professional soccer player. Career Real Salt Lake Toia got his start with the Tucson Soccer Academy as a forward, and at the end of his youth career with then, signed with Real Salt Lake as the club's first homegrown player in March 2011 after spending two years in their youth system. However, in February 2012, Toia was released by the club without ever making a first team appearance. FC Tucson Following his release from Real Salt Lake, Toia joined FC Tucson in the USL Premier Development League where he made 15 appearances for the club during the 2012 season. Toia scored the first goal in FC Tucson history on May 5, 2012, during a 2–1 loss to Fresno Fuego FC. Phoenix FC In February 2013, Toia signed with USL Pro club Phoenix FC for the inaugural season. 2014 MLS Dispersal Draft
The 2014 MLS Expansion Draft was a draft for the Major League Soccer expansion teams New York City FC and Orlando City SC that took place between November 19 and December 10, 2014. The first two rounds of the draft (which were known as the 2014 MLS Dispersal Draft) were held to distribute players who were formerly contracted with Chivas USA, which was dissolved by the league in October 2014 shortly after the end of the 2014 MLS season. As determined by a "Priority Draft" that was conducted on September 24, 2014, Orlando City SC selected first in the expansion draft, which was held via conference call at 2:00 pm EST ( UTC-5) on December 10, 2014. 2014 Chivas USA Season
The 2014 Chivas USA season was Chivas USA's tenth and final season in Major League Soccer, the top division for soccer in America. Finishing seventh in the Western Conference, it was the club's first season since 2009 that they did not finish in last place in the Western Conference. However, the club failed to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs for a fifth-consecutive year. Outside of MLS play, Chivas reached the fourth round proper of the U.S. Open Cup, where they fell in penalties to the Carolina RailHawks of the second-division NASL. In the SuperClasico, Chivas finished as runners-up to inner-city rivals, LA Galaxy. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental association football, soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. 2012 PDL Season
The 2012 USL Premier Development League season was the 18th season of the PDL. The regular season began on 22 April with a match between the Los Angeles Misioneros and Fresno Fuego, and ended with 14 matches on 15 July 2012. The 2011 Real Salt Lake season was the club's seventh year of existence, as well as their seventh season in Major League Soccer, and their seventh consecutive season in the top-flight of American soccer. The 2018 MLS Re-Entry Draft took place on December 14, 2018 (Stage 1) and December 20, 2018 (Stage 2). All 24 Major League Soccer clubs were eligible to participate.
