Donavan Freberg
Donavan Freberg (born April 6, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, U.S.) is an American photographer, advertising creative, voice actor, and writer. Freberg is probably best known for appearing in a series of commercials for ''Encyclopædia Britannica'' produced by his father, satirist and advertising creative Stan Freberg. The 1988–1993 advertising campaign was the most successful in the company's 200-year history and Donavan was elevated to cult status. He was parodied on ''Saturday Night Live'' and dubbed a "Pop Intellectual" by '' GQ'' magazine. He was spoofed in a 2003 feature in ''The Onion'', and in 2006 was chosen for VH1's "100 Greatest Teen Stars," ranking number 83. Donavan Johnson
Donavan LaMond Johnson (born July 9, 1985) better known by his stage name XV is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Wichita, Kansas. He first gained major attention after the release of his twelfth mixtape ''Everybody's Nobody'', for which he received two awards from DJBooth.net. His name, XV, refers to the age (15) at which he began his musical career. On Monday July 26, 2010, XV announced that he had signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records via his Twitter page. Music career XV knew he wanted to pursue a career involving music. However, he did not become serious about the venture until a close friend died prior to him entering high school. His moniker, XV, the Roman numeral fifteen, refers to his age at the time he began his musical career. He graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 2003. Donavan Mitchem (born c. 1989) is an American from Chicago, noted for political activism, including a stint as a television correspondent on ''The Oprah Winfrey Show''. At age 7, Mitchem talked his way into the 1996 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Mitchem picketed in front of the United Center for more than four hours with a placard reading "Let me in, DNC. Let me in." Given a pass from a representative of the Transport Workers Union of America, it took another three hours to convince security to let his mother and him in on the same pass. Once inside, he attracted the interest of the press. Afterward, Oprah Winfrey made Donavan a correspondent, and he covered President Bill Clinton’s victory speech in Little Rock, attended his inauguration in Washington, D.C., and attended the 2000 DNC as a guest of Clinton. Donavan Reed Tate (born September 27, 1990) is an American former college football quarterback for the University of Arizona Wildcats. Previously, he was a Minor League Baseball outfielder who was selected third overall by the San Diego Padres in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. Career High school career Tate attended Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia. He played baseball and American football for Cartersville, and was named a High School All-American in both sports. In his senior year, he broke a rib playing football. Tate committed to play baseball and college football for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
