Donavan Tate
Donavan Reed Tate (born September 27, 1990) is an American former college football quarterback for the University of Arizona Wildcats. Previously, he was a Minor League Baseball outfielder who was selected third overall by the San Diego Padres in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. Career High school career Tate attended Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia. He played baseball and American football for Cartersville, and was named a High School All-American in both sports. In his senior year, he broke a rib playing football. Tate committed to play baseball and college football for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Baseball career The San Diego Padres selected Tate in the first round, with the third overall selection, in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. Cartersville is a city in Bartow County, Georgia, United States; it is located within the northwest edge of the Atlanta metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 23,187. 2017 Arizona Wildcats Football Team
The 2017 Arizona Wildcats football team represented the University of Arizona during the 2017 season. The season was the Wildcats's 118th overall, 40th as a member of the Pac-12 Conference, seventh within the Pac-12 South Division, and the sixth and final year under head coach Rich Rodriguez. The team played their home games at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Arizona for the 89th straight year.
