Donal O'Mahony
Donal O'Mahony (born 1974) is an Irish hurling coach, selector and former hurler and Gaelic footballer. He is currently a selector with the Cork senior hurling team. Early life O'Mahony was born in Bishopstown, Cork. His father, Dan O'Mahony, was a prominent hurler with Cloughduv while he played Gaelic football with Kilmurry. Playing career College O'Mahony first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Finbarr's College in Cork. He played in four consecutive Harty Cup campaigns without success. University As a student at University College Cork, O'Mahony joined the college senior team. In 1996 he was at right wing-forward when University College Cork won the Fitzgibbon Cup after a 3-16 to 0-16 defeat of the University of Limerick in the final. Bishopstown () is located in the civil parish of St. Finbar's, Barony of Cork, County Cork, Ireland. City Junior A Football Championship
The City Junior A Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the EBO Home Rescue City Junior A Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Seandún Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1926 for junior Gaelic football teams in Cork, Ireland. The series of games begin in May, with the championship culminating with the final in the autumn. The championship has always been run as a knock-out competition with no second chance for beaten teams. The City Junior Championship is an integral part of the wider Cork Junior Football Championship. The winners and runners-up of the City Championship join their counterparts from the other seven divisions to contest the county championship. 10 clubs currently participate in the City Championship. Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Munster GAA Hurling Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. All-Ireland Minor Football Championship
The Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Championship is the premier under-17 "knockout" competition in Gaelic football played in Ireland. 2017 was the final year of the minor under 18 football championship as it were replaced by an under 17 championship following a vote at the GAA congress on 26 February 2016. The Munster Minor Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1928 for the youngest competitors (under-18) in the province of Munster in Ireland. Dual player or dual star is a term used in Hiberno-English to describe someone who competes in multiple sports — for example, in Victorian Ireland, cricket and hurling. The term today in Gaelic games typically describes a male player who plays both Gaelic football and hurling or, if a female player, a player of ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. The player does not necessarily have to play at the same standard in both sports.
