Domination (Morbid Angel Album)
''Domination'' is the fourth full-length studio album by death metal band Morbid Angel, released in 1995. This was Morbid Angel's last album under the label Giant Records before the label dropped the band. The band then re-signed with their former label, Earache Records. This is also the first Morbid Angel album to feature Hate Eternal frontman Erik Rutan on guitars and keyboards, who later left the band following this album, though he would return to the band for ''Gateways To Annihilation''. The CD cover is shown here. The LP artwork is a similarly styled image of statues in a desert. Initial copies came in a green jewelcase. There was also a limited edition "Slime Pack" planned, which was never released after several packs leaked before shipping and the slime-substance was found to be toxic. Gateways To Annihilation
''Gateways to Annihilation'' is the sixth studio album by the death metal band Morbid Angel. This album saw a change in musical style as the speed-laden intensity of the previous album ''Formulas Fatal to the Flesh'' was abandoned for a slower, more droning style, reminiscent of ''Blessed Are the Sick''. This is also the first album in which Steve Tucker contributed lyrics and music to the band. It is also the second and last album to feature Erik Rutan as a member of Morbid Angel. Dan Seagrave painted the album cover. This marks the first Morbid Angel album cover he had painted since ''Altars of Madness''. The intro track name "Kawazu" is an archaic Japanese word meaning "frog", which explains the sounds of frogs croaking on the track. Pete Sandoval
Pedro Rigoberto "Pete" Sandoval (born May 21, 1964) is a El Salvador, Salvadoran-born United States, American death metal drummer. His first significant stint as a drummer was for the grindcore band Terrorizer, formed in 1986, where he began to demonstrate some of his talent. Heavily influenced by the grindcore music around him, Sandoval quickly developed his abilities as a drummer with little formal training or musical education. __TOC__ Career In 1988, Sandoval was invited to join the death metal band Morbid Angel. Laibach () is a Slovenian avant-garde music group associated with the industrial, martial, and neo-classical genres. Formed in the mining town of Trbovlje (at the time in Yugoslavia) in 1980, Laibach represents the musical wing of the Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK) collective, a group which Laibach helped found in 1984. David Vincent (musician)
David Justin Vincent (born April 22, 1965), also known as Evil D, is an American musician who is best known as the former lead vocalist and bassist for the death metal band Morbid Angel as well as the bassist for Genitorturers. His early influences are Kiss and Alice Cooper. Vincent typically plays bass with a pick, though he occasionally uses his fingers. He left Morbid Angel in 1996 to join his then-wife's industrial metal band Genitorturers. Vincent's first contribution to the band was backing vocals on the song, "House of Shame", from their major label debut ''120 Days of Genitorture''. ''Illud Divinum Insanus'' is the eighth studio album by American death metal band Morbid Angel. It was released on June 7, 2011, by independent French record label Season of Mist. It is Morbid Angel's first album since ''Heretic'' (2003), the band's longest gap to date between studio albums. Erik Rutan
Erik Rutan (born June 10, 1971) is an American heavy metal musician and producer from New Jersey. He is the guitarist and lead vocalist of death metal band Hate Eternal and lead guitarist for Cannibal Corpse, who he fully joined in 2021 after acting as a fill-in guitarist during their 2019 tour. Rutan has also spent time with Morbid Angel (three different stints) and Ripping Corpse. When not performing, Rutan operates his own recording studio in Florida called Mana Recording Studios. Recording Rutan started his metal career with Ripping Corpse, recording one album titled '' Dreaming with the Dead'' released in 1991. Hate Eternal is a death metal band from St. Petersburg, Florida. The band currently consists of founding guitarist/vocalist Erik Rutan and bassist J. J. Hrubovcak.
