Dom Hofmann
Dominik Hofmann (born September 27, 1986) is an American entrepreneurship, entrepreneur and programmer. He is best known for being one of the co-founders of Vine (service), Vine as well as being the creator of Peach (social network), Peach, Byte (service), Byte and Loot. Career Vine In June 2012, Hofmann co-founded Vine, which was a 6-second video service with Rus Yusupov and Colin Kroll. Twitter acquired the app in 2012 for $30 million and the app was shut down by Twitter in 2016. During the shutdown process, Hofmann went public with his disagreement on how Vine was handled. Peach In January 2016, Hofmann introduced Peach_(social_network), Peach at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The app received major media attention until Hofmann began to focus less on the app and more on other projects. Peach is a mobile application-based social network created by Dom Hofmann. Peach is available as an Android and iOS application. It was introduced at the January 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Peach has been compared to Ello, Path, and App.net. Peach has "magic words," which were compared to Slack's similar slash shortcuts. These allow the user to access commonly used functions such as typing the letter "g" to send a GIF or "c" to bring up a calendar, similar to a command line interface. Peach eschews the traditional news feed, hashtagging, and tagging common to social networks. Colin Kroll
Colin Kroll (May 1984 – December 16, 2018) was an American entrepreneur who co-founded the video hosting service Vine and the trivia game app HQ Trivia. Early life and education Born in Rye, New York in 1984, Kroll was the son of Alan Kroll. After his parents' divorce when he was 10, Kroll was raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, dropping out of community college to work on coding projects for local businesses. Kroll eventually returned to school, attending Oakland University where he studied computer science. Career Kroll worked as an engineering manager at Right Media, a subsidiary of Yahoo!, from 2007 to 2009 and as chief technology officer at Jetsetter from 2009 to 2013.
