Dog Age
Dog Age is a Norwegian rock band established in 1987. They are currently signed to the Norwegian record company Voices Music & Entertainment, VME, after a short, intermittent spell with Rainbow Quartz Records. Their musical style is probably best described as psychedelia or psychedelic pop, but there are also elements of folk rock and progressive rock. Especially from the early seventies. Lars Fredrik Beckstrøm
Lars Fredrik Beckstrøm (born January 22, 1960 in Oslo) is a Norwegian musician who is mostly known for playing bass in the Norwegian rock band deLillos, but has also recorded several albums under the name Beckstrøm. He has written many of the band's well known songs such as "Nittenåttifire" and "Balladen om Kåre og Nelly", which he on albums and concerts sings himself. As a solo artist "Svigermor" from 1997 is his biggest hit. He is also a member of Dog Age and "The Humble Servants". Psychedelic Pop
Psychedelic pop (or acid pop) is pop music that contains musical characteristics associated with psychedelic music. Developing in the late 1960s, elements included " trippy" features such as fuzz guitars, tape manipulation, backwards recording, sitars, and Beach Boys-style harmonies, wedded to melodic songs with tight song structures. The style lasted into the early 1970s. It has seen revivals in subsequent decades by neo-psychedelic artists. Characteristics According to AllMusic, psychedelic pop was not too "freaky", but also not very "bubblegum" either. It appropriated the effects associated with straight psychedelic music, applying their innovations to concise pop songs. Psychedelia refers to the psychedelic subculture of the 1960s and the psychedelic experience. This includes psychedelic art, psychedelic music and style of dress during that era. This was primarily generated by people who used psychedelic drugs such as LSD, mescaline (found in peyote) and psilocybin (found in magic mushrooms) and also non-users who were participants and aficionados of this subculture. Christian Refsum (born 8 October 1962) is a Norwegian literary scholar, poet and novelist. He is full professor of literature at the University of Oslo. Biography He earned his doctorate with a dissertation on Nordic and French symbolism from the last half of the 19th century. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality.
