Doctor Who (season 7)
The seventh season of British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' began on 3 January 1970 with Jon Pertwee's first story ''Spearhead from Space'' and ended with ''Inferno''. The first season to be made in colour, it marked the beginning of Barry Letts's five seasons as series producer, but it has been described as "essentially devised" by his predecessor, Derrick Sherwin, who produced the opening story. The season sees the beginning of the Doctor's exile to Earth by the Time Lords and his attachment to UNIT as its scientific advisor. Jon Pertwee
John Devon Roland "Jon" Pertwee (; 7 July 1919 – 20 May 1996) was an English actor, comedian, entertainer, cabaret performer and TV presenter. Born into a theatrical family, he served in the Royal Navy and the Naval Intelligence Division during the Second World War. Liz Shaw
Elizabeth "Liz" Shaw is a fictional character played by Caroline John in the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' and its spin-offs. Second Doctor
The Second Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. He was portrayed by actor Patrick Troughton. While the Troughton era of ''Doctor Who'' is well-remembered by fans and in that era's ''Doctor Who'' literature, it is difficult to appraise in full; of his 119 episodes, 53 remain missing. Within the series' narrative, the Doctor is a centuries-old alien Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels in time and space in the TARDIS, frequently with companions. The War Games
''The War Games'' is the seventh and final serial of the sixth season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which originally aired in ten weekly parts from 19 April to 21 June 1969. In the serial, an unnamed alien race led by the War Lord ( Philip Madoc) kidnap and brainwash soldiers from wars throughout Earth's history to fight in war games on another planet as part of the aliens' plot to conquer the galaxy. Peter Bryant
Peter Bryant (27 October 1923 – 19 May 2006) was an English television producer, script editor and former actor. He acted in ''The Grove Family'' as a regular cast member and later became the producer of ''Doctor Who'' from 1967 to 1969 during Patrick Troughton's tenure as the Second Doctor. He also produced the series ''Paul Temple'' before becoming a literary agent. Career Bryant was originally an actor and appeared in the 1950s soap opera ''The Grove Family''. Later, he became a BBC Radio announcer while writing radio scripts as a sideline. This led to him becoming a script editor in the Radio Drama Department and eventually the head of the Drama Script Unit. Doctor Who (season 22)
The twenty-second season of British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' began on 5 January 1985 and ended on 30 March 1985. It opened with the serial ''Attack of the Cybermen'' and ended with the serial ''Revelation of the Daleks''. The season returned to the traditional Saturday transmission for the first time since Season 18, but for the first and only time in the classic series' first run it featured 45-minute episodes in its entirety.
