Snap elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held on 21 July 2019. Originally scheduled to be held at the end of October, these elections were brought forward after newly inaugurated President of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dissolved parliament on 21 May 2019, during his inauguration. The election result was the one-party majority, a novelty in Ukraine, for President Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party with 254 seats. About 80 percent of the elected candidates were new to parliament; 83 deputies managed to get reelected from 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, the previous parliament and 13 deputies from earlier convocations. On 25 October 2015 local elections took place in Ukraine. The elections were conducted a little over a year since the 2014 2014 Ukrainian local elections, snap local elections, which were only held throughout parts of the country. A second round of voting for the election of mayors in cities with more than 90,000 residents where no candidate gained more than 50% of the votes were held on 15 November 2015. Because of the ongoing War in Donbas (2014–2022), conflict in East Ukraine and the February 2014 Annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, annexation of Crimea by Russia, local elections were not conducted throughout all of the administrative subdivisions of Ukraine. In 2017 the channel changed ownership and was revamped under its current name. History Tonis The TV channel Tonis was established in 1989 with its headquarters in Mykolaiv. The Interfactional Union "Eurooptimists" ( uk, Міжфракційне об'єднання "Єврооптимісти", ) was an association of people's deputies (members of parliament) of the 8th convocation (2014–2019) of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's unicameral parliament.
