Diving At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's 10 Metre Platform
The men's 10-metre diving platform, platform diving (sport), diving competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held on 6 to 7 August 2021 at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre. It was the 27th appearance of the event, which has been held at every Olympic Games since the 1904 Summer Olympics. Competition format The competition will be held in three rounds: * Preliminary round: All divers perform six dives; the top 18 divers advance to the semi-final. * Semi-final: The 18 divers perform six dives; the scores of the qualifications are erased and the top 12 divers advance to the final. * Final: The 12 divers perform six dives; the semi-final scores are erased and the top three divers win the gold, silver and bronze medals accordingly. Within each round of six dives, one dive must be from each of the six groups (forward, back, reverse, inward, twisting, and armstand). Early life Jordan was born in Sihanoukville, Cambodia on November 13, 1998. Rylan Wiens (born January 2, 2002) is a Canadian diver in the platform (10 metre) events. Wiens currently resides and trains in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Career Wiens' first major team was at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where he competed in the individual and synchro events. At the 2021 FINA Diving World Cup, Wiens scored a 488.55 in the final, which won him the bronze medal. Nathan Zsombor-Murray (born April 28, 2003) is a Canadian diver in the platform (10 metre) events. Career At the age of 14, Zsombor-Murray made his World Championships debut in 2017, where he finished in fifth place in the mixed 10 m synchro event with Meaghan Benfeito.
