Diving At The 2004 Summer Olympics – Women's Synchronized 10 Metre Platform
The women's synchronized 10 meter platform was one of eight diving events included in the Diving at the 2004 Summer Olympics program. The competition was held as an outright final: ;''Final'': 16 August — Each pair of divers performed five dives freely chosen from the five diving groups, with two dives limited to a 2.0 degree of difficulty and the others without limitation. Divers could perform different dives during the same dive if both presented the same difficulty degree. Annett Gamm (born 28 May 1977) is a German platform diver. She is a two-time Olympian (2004 and 2008), a multiple-time German diving champion, and a four-time consecutive gold medalist in the women's synchronized platform at the European Aquatics Championships (2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008). Paola Milagros Espinosa Sánchez (born 31 July 1986) is a Mexican diver and represented Mexico at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she was her national team's flagbearer, and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. In 1987, the Espinosa Sánchez family moved to La Paz from Mexico City with Paola, who was barely nine months old. Loudy Wiggins (née Tourky) (born 7 July 1979) is a former Australian diver. She was born in Haifa, Israel to Palestinian parents, but moved to Australia when she was 3 years old. Wiggins was a gymnast at the Australian Institute of Sport, then began diving when she was 12 on suggestion from her physiotherapist. Wiggins competed at her first Olympic Games for Diving when she was 17 years old at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She won bronze in the 10m synchronised platform event at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, becoming the first Australian to win an Olympic medal in diving since Dick Eve in 1924 (with Rebecca Gilmore).
