Divij Sharan (born 2 March 1986) is an Indian professional tennis player. He specialises in doubles and competes on the ATP World Tour. He has won 5 ATP World Tour titles in men's doubles and represents India in the Davis Cup. He won a gold medal in the men's doubles at the 2018 Asian Games. Personal and early life Sharan was born in New Delhi. He began playing tennis at the age of seven at a local tennis academy. His favorite surfaces are grass and hard courts. The 2004 French Open was the 108th edition of the tournament. Gastón Gaudio became the first men's Open Era Grand Slam title winner to save two match points in the final; the last time that had happened was 70 years earlier. Samantha Dawn Murray Sharan (name at birth, née Murray; born 9 October 1987) is a British tennis player. Murray has won four singles titles and 26 doubles titles on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, ITF Women's Circuit. On 23 September 2013, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 165. Leander Adrian Paes ( ; born 17 June 1973) is an Indian former professional tennis player. He is regarded as one of the greatest doubles tennis players ever. He holds the record for the most doubles wins in the Davis Cup. Paes won eight men's doubles and ten mixed doubles Grand Slam titles. Mahesh Shrinivas Bhupathi (born 7 June 1974) is an Indian former doubles world No. 1 tennis player. In 1997, he became the first Indian to win a major tournament (with Rika Hiraki). Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles).
