Distrito Comedia (Comedy District) is a Mexican cable/satellite television network. The channel broadcast classic comedy shows (from the 1970s to 1990s), contemporary comedy shows (2000's) and original comedy shows (2010's). Distrito Comedia (launched October 1, 2012) broadcast only Mexican comedy shows and sitcoms from TelevisaUnivision (Mexico), TelevisaUnivision Mexico. Distrito Comedia replaced Clásico TV on (May 7, 2007 – October 1, 2012). ''Chespirito'' is a Mexican sketch comedy show created by and starring comedian and actor Roberto Gomez Bolaños, whose nickname gave the show its title. Two series were produced with the same title. The first premiered as ''Los Supergenios de la Mesa Cuadrada'' on Televisión Independiente de México on October 15, 1970, after a two-year span of this sketch being part of the ''Sábados de la Fortuna/Sábados con Neftalí/Carrousel con Neftalí'' show (hosted by Neftalí Lopez Paez), aired in the same channel, since October 1968, during the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City; the independent series adopted the ''Chespirito y La Mesa Cuadrada'' and later the ''Chespirito'' title in 1971, and aired until February 1973. ''El Chapulín Colorado'' (English: ''The Red Grasshopper'') is a Mexican television comedy series that ran from 1973 to 1979 and parodied superhero shows. It was created by Roberto Gómez Bolaños ( Chespirito), who also played the main character. It was first aired by Televisa in 1973 in Mexico, and then was aired across Latin America and Spain until 1981, alongside ''El Chavo del Ocho'', which shared the same cast of actors. ''La Carabina de Ambrosio'' is a Mexican television show created and developed by Humberto Navarro, filmed at the Televisa Studios, Chapultepec in Mexico City, from 1978 until 1987. The slogan of the show was "A Magical, Comical, and Musical Variety Show." The show had guest emcees that included César Costa, Gualberto Castro, Fito Girón, and Manolo Muñoz. While the emcees sang a cast member would interrupt rudely and a comedy skit began. The show consisted of numerous skits, jokes and tricks played on the emcees. ''The Trap'' ( it, La Gabbia), also known as ''Collector's Item'', ''Dead Fright'' and ''The Cage'', is a 1985 erotic thriller directed by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi (his last theatrical film), and starring Tony Musante, Laura Antonelli, and Florinda Bolkan. Famed Italian horror director Lucio Fulci contributed to the screenplay (this film was done during the time Fulci was recovering from hepatitis, so he was unable to direct it).
