Discovery High School is a public high school in Lawrenceville, Georgia and a part of Gwinnett County Public Schools. It was built in 2015 for over $70 million. Its opening provided relief to over crowding at Central Gwinnett High School and Berkmar High School. it had 2,716 students. Lawrenceville is a city in and the county seat of Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States. It is a suburb of Atlanta, located approximately northeast of downtown. As of the 2020 census, the population of Lawrenceville was 30,629. In 2019, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated the city population to be 30,834. The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) is an organization that governs athletics and activities for member high schools in Georgia, USA. GHSA is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations. The association has 463 public and private high schools as members. GHSA organizes all sports and academic competitions as well as overseeing registration, training, and approves local area sports officials associations to administer regional athletics and activities per member schools. Berkmar High School
Berkmar High School is a high school located in Lilburn, Georgia, United States. It has approximately 2,912 students, grades 9 through 12. Berkmar High School's principal is Durrant Williams. The school opened in 1966 to help overcrowding at nearby schools due to the growth of Gwinnett County.
