Dinos Saltillo
Dinos de Saltillo (English: ''Saltillo Dinos'') are an American football team based in Saltillo, Mexico. The Dinos compete in the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional, the top American football league in Mexico. The team plays its home games at the Estadio Francisco I. Madero. History The team was founded on 28 September 2016, in resemblance of the semi-professional team with the same name that played in the Mexican Master Football League from 1995 to 1996 in the city of Saltillo. The team participated in the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional for the first time in the 2017 season. Under head coach Guillermo Ruiz Burguete, the team finished with a 2–5 record, nevertheless, due to the competition system, Dinos still classified for playoffs and defeated Raptors for the North Division championship, classifying for the Tazón México in their first year in the league. Saltillo
Saltillo () is the capital and largest city of the northeastern Mexican state of Coahuila and is also the municipal seat of the municipality of the same name. 2017 LFA Season
The 2017 LFA season was the second season of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional. This season saw two new franchises join the league: Dinos(short for "dinosaurios", the Spanish word for dinosaurs) and Fundidores(Spanish for smelters or founders) to bring the league to a total of 6 teams. The regular season began on February 18 and concluded on April 9. The Tazón México II was played on April 30 with the Mayas defeating the Raptors to win their second LFA championship. News On September 28, 2016, the LFA announced its expansion for the 2017 season: the Monterrey Founders and the Saltillo Dinos. Guillermo Ruiz Burguete
José Guillermo Ruiz Burguete (born 24 January 1976) is a Mexican gridiron football coach. He previously played in the NFL Europe with the Frankfurt Galaxy. Playing career College career Ruiz Burguete played college football for the Centinelas CGP in 1995 and 1996 and later for the Borregos Salvajes Monterrey from 1998 to 2000, receiving a scholarship to study at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, where he majored in Business Administration. Sergio Schiaffino Pérez (born 18 September 1992) is a Mexican professional gridiron football defensive back for the Dinos de Saltillo of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional (LFA). Early life Schiaffino was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León on 18 September 1992. Ramiro Pruneda RU-ned-ah(born 25 January 1983) is a Mexican offensive tackle for the Dinos de Saltillo of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional (LFA). Estadio Olímpico De Saltillo
The Estadio Olímpico de Saltillo is a multi-use stadium in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium for Saltillo F.C.. The stadium has a capacity of 7,000 people for football matches and 8,000 for American football games, due to the addition of temporary stands in both ends of the field.
