Dino Morelli
Dino Morelli (born June 6, 1973, Ballymoney, County Antrim, Northern Ireland), is a former racing driver who competed sporadically in Formula 3000 between 1995 and 2001. Career Morelli began racing in karts in the late 1980s before joining Irish Formula Ford in 1990, and later British Formula Ford in 1991. By 1994, he was racing in British Formula 3 where he finished 7th in the championship. He joined Omegaland to compete in the first two rounds of the 1995 International Formula 3000 season. He retired from both races. In 1996, he joined Coloni to race in Italian Formula 3, before returning to Formula 3000 in 1997. Driving for DKS Racing, Morelli's season started well finishing 5th in the opening race at Silverstone. He would secure his first, and only, Formula 3000 podium at Helsinki. Ballymoney ( ga, Baile Monaidh , meaning 'townland of the moor') is a small town and civil parish in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is within the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area. The British Formula Ford Championship was an entry level single seater motor racing category, designed to give racing drivers their first step into car racing after karting. Drivers from around the world were attracted to the United Kingdom to compete in the series, and successful Formula One drivers such as Ayrton Senna and Jenson Button won their first single-seater titles in the championship. The 1999 International Formula 3000 season was the thirty-third season of the second-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also fifteenth season under the International Formula 3000 Championship moniker which was an FIA sanctioned motor racing title for drivers of Formula 3000 racing cars. 1997 British Formula 3000 Championship
The 1997 British Formula 3000 Championship was the aborted eighth and final season of the British Formula 3000 Championship. Only one meeting on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit went ahead on April 13, where only three cars turned up. The rest of the season was cancelled due to low interest from teams who decided to focus on the International series. The only race was won by Dino Morelli for DKS Racing from Redman Bright Engineering's Gonzalo Rodriguez and DKS teammate Tommy Field. Coloni Motorsport, also known as Scuderia Coloni, was an auto racing team from Italy. Formed by Enzo Coloni in 1983, the team participated in Formula Three between 1983 and 1986, before racing in Formula One as Enzo Coloni Racing Car Systems between and . The 1994 British Formula Three season was the 44th British Formula Three Championship, won by Jan Magnussen. The season started on 27 March at Silverstone and ended there on 2 October following eighteen races. 1994 saw the introduction of a new points-scoring system, with points now awarded down to tenth position, instead of only to sixth as previously, and all rounds counting towards the championship.
