Dimitris Markos
Dimitris Markos ( el, Δημήτρης Μάρκος; born 31 January 1971) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He now works as a scout for OFI. Club career Markos started his football career in 1987 at Naoussa, where he played for five seasons before joining Panathinaikos in 1992. He gradually established himself as a first-team player for five years, won 3 championships, 3 Greek Cups and 2 Super Cups including a double in 1995 and at the same time he became an international. He a member of the team that reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 1996, scoring in the decisive away win against Porto. In the summer of 1997 he moved to England for Sheffield United, where he failed to compete in any game and after a few months he returned to Greece to play for the second division side, Kalamata. Kilkis
Kilkis ( el, Κιλκίς) is a city in Central Macedonia, Greece. As of 2011 there were 22,914 people living in the city proper, 28,745 people living in the municipal unit, and 51,926 in the municipality of Kilkis. The 2002–03 Greek Football Cup was the 61st edition of the Greek Football Cup. That season's edition was entitled "Vodafone Greek Cup" for sponsorship reasons. Tournament details The two finalists were the arch-rivals, PAOK and Aris, meeting up again in a Cup final after 33 years. PAOK had to overcome some big obstacles to reach the final. They qualified against OFI on away goals rule and eliminated league champions Olympiacos with two wins in the quarter-finals and cup holders AEK Athens with 2–1 on aggregate in the semi-finals. The 1994–95 Greek Football Cup was the 53rd edition of the Greek Football Cup. Tournament details Totally 72 teams participated, 18 from Alpha Ethniki, 18 from Beta, and 36 from Gamma. The 1993–94 Greek Football Cup was the 52nd edition of the Greek Football Cup. Tournament details Totally 72 teams participated, 18 from Alpha Ethniki, 18 from Beta, and 36 from Gamma. It was a very interesting competition with undecided matches and led in a Final between Panathinaikos and AEK Athens, a pair that had not appeared in a Greek Cup Final for 45 years, since the last confrontation between the two teams in the final match was in 1949. AEK Athens qualified in the Final after 11 years, while Panathinaikos had eliminated PAOK earlier in penalty shootout, after two goalless draws. Without particular surprises, minus the elimination of Aris in the Group stage by Ethnikos Piraeus and Paniliakos, teams of lower divisions, the three big teams of Attica qualified easily or with difficulty to semi-finals. In that round, Olympiacos eliminated AEK Athens, the season's champions, after two very interesting matches, with qualification to be judged in extra time. Panathinaikos had easier work against Apollon Athens. In the Final, that was held in Olympic Stadium, Panathinaikos managed to win their ''eternal'' opponent by 1–0, opening the street for a line of three possessed wins of the Cup.
