Dimasalang Street is a major road between the districts of Sampaloc and Santa Cruz in the Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. Running in the north–south direction, it connects Lacson Avenue and Laon Laan Street in the south to Blumentritt Road, near the city's border with Quezon City, in the north. It also crosses over the Philippine National Railway tracks and below NLEX Connector at Dimasalang Bridge. It is named after ''Dimasalang'', one of the pen names of the Philippine national hero José Rizal. Radial Road 8, more commonly referred to as R-8, is a network of roads and bridges that altogether form the eighth radial road of Manila in the Philippines. It runs north-south through northern Metro Manila linking the City of Manila with Quezon City, Caloocan, and Valenzuela into the northern provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, and La Union. The portion of R-8 between Guiguinto and Balintawak is also designated a component of the Pan-Philippine Highway network (AH26). Blumentritt Road
Blumentritt Road is a major road in Manila, Philippines. It runs through the border of the City of Manila with Quezon City from Rizal Avenue in Santa Cruz district to G. Tuazon Street in Sampaloc district. The road also forms the southern boundary of the Manila North Cemetery. It is named after Bohemian professor and filipinologist, Ferdinand Blumentritt. Lacson Avenue is the principal northwest–southeast artery located in Sampaloc, Manila, Sampaloc district in northern Manila, Philippines. Philippine National Railway
The Philippine National Railways (PNR) ( fil, Pambansang Daang-Bakal ng Pilipinas and es, Ferrocarril Nacional de Filipinas) is a state-owned railway company in the Philippines which operates one commuter rail service between Metro Manila and Laguna, and local services between Sipocot, Naga and Legazpi in the Bicol Region. It is an attached agency of the Department of Transportation. PNR began operations on November 24, 1892, as the Manila Railway Company, during the Spanish colonial period, and later becoming the Manila Railroad Company (MRR) during the American colonial period. NLEX Connector
NLEX Connector (North Luzon Expressway Connector), also known as the NLEX–SLEX Connector Road (North Luzon Expressway–South Luzon Expressway Connector), NLEX Connector Road, and NLEX Segment 11 during the planning stages, is a , four-lane elevated expressway in Metro Manila, Philippines. It connects the NLEX Harbor Link to the Metro Manila Skyway, which in turn connect to the North Luzon Expressway, North and South Luzon Expressways, respectively, while traversing parallel to the PNR Metro Commuter Line. The highway has five interchanges, four of which is currently operational. Alongside NLEX Harbor Link, trucks are allowed to use it. Construction began in 2019 and was partially opened in March 2023.
