Dilsukhnagar
Dilsukhnagar is one of the largest commercial and residential centers in Hyderabad. It was once part of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad, but later merged with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. History The name "Dilsukhnagar" is derived from Dilsukh Ramprasad, an agricultural land owner who lived around Malakpet. It is said that he subdivided his land into plots and built a colony which he named Dilsukhnagar. Dilsukhnagar was once a purely residential suburb; however, in the last decade strong economic growth has transformed it into a major commercial hub. Administration Dilsukhnagar was merged into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in 2007 after an order passed by the Government of Telangana. It is now a part of the Telangana State Assembly. The Hyderabad Metro is a rapid transit system, serving the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is the second longest operational metro network in India after the Delhi Metro (285 stations) with 57 stations and the lines are arranged in a secant model. The Hyderabad Multi-Modal Transport System, commonly abbreviated MMTS, is a suburban rail system in Hyderabad, India. A joint venture of the government of Telangana and the South Central Railway, it is operated by the latter. The Students' Islamic Movement of India (abbreviated SIMI) is a banned terrorist organisation that was formed in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh in April 1977. The stated mission of SIMI is the ‘liberation of India’ by converting it to an Islamic land. The SIMI, an organisation of extremists has declared Jihad against India, the aim of which is to establish Dar-ul-Islam (land of Islam) by either forcefully converting everyone to Islam or by violence.
