Different Fortunes
''Different Fortunes'' (russian: Разные судьбы) is a 1956 Soviet drama film directed by Leonid Lukov. Plot The film tells about young residents of Leningrad, finishing school. Sonia loves Stepu, who is in love with Tanya, and Tanya likes Fedor. Stepa goes to Siberia to study at the evening institute and work in parallel at the local plant. Sonia goes for Stepa and joins the team of the plant where he works. Tanya and Fedor got married and entered the institute, and Fedor, in addition, got a job as a chauffeur in order to bring money to the family. But this was not enough for Tanya, and for the sake of money she began a relationship with a self-sufficient composer. Leonid Davydovich Lukov (russian: Леонид Давидович Луков; 2 May 1909 – 24 April 1963) was a Soviet film director and screenwriter. He directed 25 films between 1930 and 1963. Sergey Nikolayevich Filippov (russian: Сергей Николаевич Филиппов, 24 June 1912— 19 April 1990) was a Soviet and Russian film and stage actor and comedian, best known for his parts in films ''Adventures of Korzinkina'' (1941), ''The Night Patrol'' (1957) and the adaptation of Ilf and Petrov's classic ''The Twelve Chairs'' (1971), which granted him the People's Artist of the RSFSR title in 1974. Biography Filippov was born in Saratov. His father was a factory turner, his mother a dressmaker. Expelled from school for bad behaviour (involving, reportedly, dangerous experiments in the cabinet of a chemistry teacher), he tried several jobs (a baker’s boy, a carpenter, a turner) before joining a ballet studio, which in 1929 sent him to Moscow for further education. Irina Petrovna Zarubina (russian: Ирина Петровна Зару́бина; April 22, 1907 – May 20, 1976) was a Soviet and Russian actress. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1951). Biography She was born on April 22, 1907, in Kazan. In 1929, she graduated from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, after which she worked at the Leningrad Theater of the Proletcult. Muza Krepkogorskaya
Musa Viktorovna Krepkogorskaya (russian: Муза Викторовна Крепкогорская; July 9, 1924, Moscow — June 26, 1999, Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1989). Wife of actor Georgi Yumatov. They met at VGIK during the 1940s and lived together up till Yumatov's death. Krepkogorskaya was never as popular as her husband, even though he made sure that she was given at least minor roles in every movie he appeared in. Muza Krepkogorskaya died on June 26, 1999. She was buried in Moscow at the Vagankovo Cemetery. Vera Markovna Orlova (russian: Ве́ра Ма́рковна Орло́ва; May 25, 1918 – September 16, 1993) was a Soviet Russian actress. She graduated from the Moscow theatrical school in 1942 and started to work at the Mayakovsky Theater in Moscow. Vsevolod Vasilyevich Sanayev (Все′волод Васи′льевич Сана′ев; 25 2, o.s.February 1912 in Tula, Russian Empire – 27 January 1996 in Moscow, Russia) was a Soviet film and stage actor popular in the 1960s–1970s. Sanayev, a Moscow Art Theatre (and later Mossovet Theatre) actor, was honored in 1969 with the People's Artist of the USSR title; among his other accolades are the Order of Lenin (1971) and the Order of the October Revolution (1981). Bruno Arturovich Freindlich (russian: Бруно Артурович Фрейндлих; 10 October 1909 – 9 July 2002) was a Soviet and Russian actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1974). His daughter Alisa Freindlich is also a notable actress.
