Dicky Pride
} Richard Fletcher Pride III (born July 15, 1969) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He previously played on the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour. Early life Pride was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He attended Tuscaloosa Academy and the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the golf team. Pride was named All-Southeastern Conference his junior and senior years. At Alabama, he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was a semifinalist at the 1991 U.S. Amateur. He turned professional in 1992 and played in that season's U.S. Open, where he missed the cut. Professional career Pride became a full-time PGA Tour member after his finish at the 1993 qualifying school. Pride earned his only win to date at the 1994 Federal Express St. Jude Classic, his 19th PGA Tour start. Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Tuscaloosa ( ) is a city in and the seat of Tuscaloosa County in west-central Alabama, United States, on the Black Warrior River where the Gulf Coastal and Piedmont plains meet. Mayakoba Golf Classic
The World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in Mexico, held at Playa del Carmen, south of Cancún. It debuted in February 2007 PGA Tour, 2007 and was the first PGA Tour event in Mexico this century. History Originally an alternate event in late winter, the tournament was played the same week as the WGC Match Play event in Arizona. Mayakoba was part of the FedEx Cup, but only earned half the points of a regular event. The prize fund in 2007 was United States dollar, US$3.5 million (with a winner's share of $630,000), making it the richest golf tournament in Mexico. 2020–21 PGA Tour Champions Season
The 2020–21 PGA Tour Champions season is the 41st in which PGA Tour Champions, a golf tour for men age 50 and over, has operated. The tour officially began in 1980 as the Senior PGA Tour. The season was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with half the scheduled tournaments being cancelled, including four of the five senior majors. As a result the only major played in 2020 was the Senior Players Championship, which was won by Jerry Kelly, who finished two strokes ahead Scott Parel to claim his first senior major title. The season was expanded to include all 2021 tournaments with the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs events in 2020 returning to regular event status. Tim Herron
Timothy Daniel Herron (born February 6, 1970) is an American professional golfer. He currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He was previously a member of the PGA Tour, where he was a four-time winner. Early life Herron was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His father and grandfather, both named Carson Herron, were professional golfers who played in the U.S. Open. Amateur career Herron was a 1992-1993 first team All-American at the University of New Mexico. He won the 1992 Minnesota State Amateur. Herron played on the 1993 United States Walker Cup team. Professional career In 1993, Herron turned professional. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1995, and the following season he won for the first time on the PGA Tour at the Honda Classic. He won three times in his first four seasons at the top level. WinCo Foods Portland Open
The WinCo Foods Portland Open was a golf tournament in Oregon on the Korn Ferry Tour. It debuted in August 2014 at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, a suburb northwest of Portland. Northwest-based supermarket chain WinCo Foods was named as the title sponsor in June 2013. After a seven-year run, the tournament was removed from the Korn Ferry Tour schedule in 2021 due to WinCo Foods ending its title sponsorship. With the exception of 2020 (when the season was altered due to the COVID-19 pandemic), the Portland Open was always the last regular-season event on the Korn Ferry Tour. Played on the Witch Hollow course, the tournament gave players one last chance to place in the top 25 on the money list to earn a PGA Tour card or play their way into the top 75 to retain full Korn Ferry Tour privileges and earn a chance at a PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
