Dick Kelsey (politician)
Dick Kelsey (born December 30, 1946) is a former Republican Party (United States), Republican member of the Kansas Senate, representing the Kansas's 26th Senate district, 26th district from 2009 until 2013. He was previously a Kansas House of Representatives, Kansas Representative elected in 2005. Kelsey was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Kansas's 4th congressional district to succeed fellow Republican Todd Tiahrt. He suspended his campaign on March 5, 2010 due to health concerns of his wife. Kelsey endorsed Mike Pompeo to replace Tiahrt on March 17, 2010. Issue positions Sen. William Todd Tiahrt ( ; born June 15, 1951) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 1995 to 2011. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected as part of the historic Republican Wave of 1994, defeating 18-year incumbent U.S. Representative Dan Glickman.
