Diarmuid Murphy
Diarmuid Murphy (born 22 August 1975 in Dingle, County Kerry) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for his local club Dingle and was the goalkeeper at senior level on the Kerry county football team from 2004 until 2009. In August 2010 it was announced that Murphy would join the Kerry management as a selector under coach Jack O'Connor. Playing career Under 21 Murphy was part of the Kerry Under 21 team in 1994 but lost out to Cork in the Munster championship. He was still underage in 1995. He played no part in the Munster championship winning campaign, but returned to the team for the All-Ireland semi-final with Donegal that Kerry won. Murphy was the team's captain for the All-Ireland final with Mayo. The game ended in a 2-12 to 3-09 draw, Kerry won the re-play 3-10 to 1-12 to give Murphy an All-Ireland title as captain. National Football League (Ireland)
The National Football League (NFL; ga, Sraith Náisiúnta Peile) is an annual Gaelic football competition between the senior county teams of Ireland plus London. Sponsored by Allianz, it is officially known as the Allianz National Football League. The Gaelic Athletic Association organises the league. The winning team receives the New Ireland Cup, presented by the New Ireland Assurance Company. The National Football League is the second most prestigious inter-county Gaelic Football competition after the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Unlike many league competitions in sport, each team plays the other teams in their division only once. Teams that meet in the same division over the course of a number of years often play on a home and away basis in alternative years, though this is not strictly adhered to. Eoin Brosnan
Eoin Brosnan,born c.1980,is an Irish Gaelic football player who plays at centre forward. He is a former member of the Kerry senior county team and plays his club football for Dr Crokes. As of late 2021, he was a practicing solicitor, working from a practice in Killarney. Playing career Inter-county Brosnan made his Kerry Senior debut against Louth in 2000. He won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship title with Kerry on three occasions - 2004, 2006 and 2007. The 2004 and 2006 finals were played against Mayo, while the 2007 final was against Cork. In the 2006 tie, Brosnan came on as a substitute in place of Tomás Ó Sé against Mayo and scored 1-01. Tomás Ó Sé
Tomás Ó Sé (; born 21 June 1978) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer. He played Gaelic football with Nemo Rangers and at senior level for the Kerry county team from 1998 until he retired in 2013, playing predominantly in the half-back line. In one of the most decorated careers in Gaelic Games, Ó Sé won 5 All-Ireland titles, 9 Munster titles and was Footballer of the Year in 2004. Peter Canavan
Peter Canavan (born 9 April 1971) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer, manager and pundit. He played inter-county football for Tyrone, and is one of the most decorated players in the game's history, winning two All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medals, six All Stars Awards (more than any other Ulster player, and joint third overall), four provincial titles, and two National Leagues and several under-age and club championship medals. Dara Ó Cinnéide (born 25 April 1975 in Dublin) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for his local club An Ghaeltacht and at senior level for the Kerry county team from 1995 until 2005. Ó Cinnéide captained Kerry to the All-Ireland title in 2004. Biography Dara Ó Cinnéide was born in Dublin in 1975, but grew up near An Daingean, County Kerry. The Gaelic Athletic Association-Gaelic Players' Association All Stars Awards (often known simply as the All Stars) are awarded annually to the best player in each of the 15 playing positions in Gaelic football and hurling. Additionally, one player in each code is selected as Player of the Year. The awards were instituted in 1971. Since 2011 they have been presented jointly by the Gaelic Athletic Association and the representative body for inter-county players, the Gaelic Players Association. All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland. The first tournament was held in 1887; it has been held every year since 1889. Each tournament ends with a final, played by the 35th Sunday of the year at Croke Park in Dublin, with the winning team receiving the Sam Maguire Cup. Colm Cooper
Colm "the Gooch" Cooper (born 3 June 1983) is an Irish Gaelic footballer whose league and championship career at senior level with the Kerry county team spanned fifteen years from 2002 to 2017. Born in Killarney, County Kerry, Cooper was born into a strong Gaelic football family.
