Dianna Corcoran
Dianna Elizabeth Corcoran (born 20 June 1979 in Parkes, New South Wales) is an Australian country music singer-songwriter. Among numerous awards, she is a three-time Golden Guitar winner History Corcoran's initial interest in country music involved yodelling. After finishing high school, Corcoran moved to Adelaide where she worked in three jobs (recruitment, dog food factory and car parts plant) to save enough money to make her first record (''Little Bit Crazy''). She became a professional musician in 2004. In that year, she toured with Adam Brand as an opening act. It was also in that year that she won her first Golden Guitar Award for New Talent of the Year. Corcoran has been deployed on three occasions to perform for Australian troops on active duty in war zones around the world, including a tour of Afghanistan with Jenny Morris. Parkes, New South Wales
Parkes is a town in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the main settlement in the local government area of Parkes Shire. Parkes had a population of 11,224 as at 30 June 2018. Estimated resident population, 30 June 2018. Parkes is part of the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people, the largest language group in NSW with a country of more than 120,000 square kilometres. Kirsty Lee Akers is an Australian country singer-songwriter. Career Akers performed in public for the first time at the age of three years and recorded her first EP in 2006, at the age of 16. She funded that recording with the money she made busking on the streets of Tamworth, New South Wales. Akers graduated from the CMAA Academy of Country Music. In 2007, at the age of 18, Akers won the Star Maker Award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and signed her first record deal and released her debut studio album, ''Little Things'' the same year. Akers reflected saying, "I used to write my own songs but I had maybe one original song on my first album which was really strange for me at the time because I only ever sang my own songs, but the label ompass Bros.at the time wanted me to record different songs, and when I look back now I wish I had that support to record my own music."
