Diablophis
''Diablophis'' is a genus of Late Jurassic stem-snake from the Morrison Formation of North America. The type and only species, ''D. gilmorei'' was once thought to be a species of ''Parviraptor'' but is now classified as its own genus. The animal is known from multiple specimens, the holotype A holotype is a single physical example (or illustration) of an organism, known to have been used when the species (or lower-ranked taxon) was formally described. ''Parviraptor'' is a genus of stem-snake (clade Ophidia) containing one species, ''Parviraptor estesi'', from the Late Jurassic (Tithonian) or Early Cretaceous (Berriasian) Purbeck Limestone Formation of Dorset, England. Eophis
''Eophis'' is an early genus of stem-snake (clade Ophidia) containing one species, ''Eophis underwoodi'', from the Middle Jurassic (Bathonian) from the Forest Marble Formation of United Kingdom. It is known from a fragmentary dentary from Kirtlington Quarry. It was previously interpreted as an anguimorph lizard. The placement of ''Eophis'' as a stem snake was re-affirmed by subsequent analyses. Ungaliophiidae
Ungaliophiinae is a subfamily of booid snakes containing two genera, '' Ungaliophis'' (two species) and ''Exiliboa'' (one species). They are small constrictors that are found in Central and South America from southern Mexico to Colombia. They eat mostly lizards and frogs and are poorly studied. These snakes were formerly thought to be closely related to two other genera, '' Tropidophis'' and '' Trachyboa''; all four genera were united in the family (Tropidophiidae) based on the presence of a tracheal lung and the absence of a left lung. Acrochordidae
The Acrochordidae, commonly known as wart snakes, Java wart snakes, file snakes, elephant trunk snakes, or dogface snakes are a monogeneric family created for the genus ''Acrochordus''. This is a group of basal aquatic snakes found in Australia and tropical Asia. Currently, three species are recognized. Description All are entirely aquatic, lacking the broad belly-scales found in most other snakes and possessing dorsally located eyes. Their most notable feature is their skin and scales. Tropidophiidae
The Tropidophiidae, common name dwarf boas or thunder snakes, are a family of nonvenomous snakes found from Mexico and the West Indies south to southeastern Brazil. These are small to medium-sized fossorial snakes, some with beautiful and striking color patterns. Currently, two living genera, containing 34 species, are recognized.
