Dheena
''Dheena'' is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by then-debutante A. R. Murugadoss, starring Ajith Kumar, Suresh Gopi, in his Tamil debut, and Laila. The music and background score is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by K. Aravind. It was released on 14 January 2001. The film was remade in Bengali as ''Deva'' (2002) and in Kannada as ''Dhumm'' (2002). The movie received positive reviews and became a commercial success at the box office. Plot The film starts with the police arresting Aadhikesavan's men as suspects for burning Minister Malarvannan's liquor shop. AR Murugadoss
Murugadoss Arunasalam (born 25 September 1974), commonly known as A. R. Murugadoss, is an Indian film director, producer and screenwriter who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. He is best known for directing action films mainly on social issues. In addition, he has worked in Telugu films and Hindi films. Murugadoss won the Filmfare Award for Best Director for his 2014 Tamil action drama ''Kaththi''. Murugadoss' first break in the film industry was as an assistant director of ''Ratchagan'' (1997). Sampath Ram is an Indian actor who works primarily in Tamil-language films. He is known for his villainous roles. Laila (born 24 October 1980) is an Indian actress. She has acted predominantly in Tamil films, as well as few Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi language films. Career She made her debut in the Telugu film ''Egire Paavurama'' (1996), directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. Laila began to receive offers from prominent directors to feature in Tamil films and turned down films such as ''Dharma Chakkaram'' and ''Kadhal Palli'' by K. S. Ravikumar and Pavithran respectively. Yuvan Shankar Raja
Yuvan Shankar Raja or Abdul Haliq (born 31 August 1979) is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer and singer-songwriter. He mainly scores music for Tamil films. Considered a versatile composer, he is particularly known for his use of Western music elements and often credited with having introduced hip hop to the Tamil film and music industry and started the "era of remixes" in Tamil Nadu. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices.
