Devin Edgerton
Devin Edgerton (born June 11, 1970) is a Canadian former ice hockey centre. Career Edgerton played junior hockey with the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League from 1989 to 1991. In the 1990–91 season, he scored 71 goals and 93 assists for 164 points in 67 games as he was named the SJHL's Most Valuable Player. He turned professional in 1991 and spent the next five seasons playing in the East Coast Hockey League and the International Hockey League. He played for the Winston-Salem Thunderbirds, Wheeling Thunderbirds, Peoria Rivermen, Atlanta Knights, Knoxville Cherokees and Phoenix Roadrunners. In 1996, Edgerton would leave North America and spend the remainder of his career in the European leagues. He first played for SC Herisau of the Nationalliga B in Switzerland where he scored 40 goals and 40 assists to help them win promotion to Nationalliga A. Kindersley
Kindersley is a town surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Kindersley No. 290 in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located along Highway 7, a primary highway linking Calgary, Alberta and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Wheeling Thunderbirds
The Wheeling Nailers are a professional ECHL ice hockey team based in Wheeling, West Virginia. They are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. The Nailers are the oldest surviving minor league franchise below the level of the American Hockey League, with unbroken continuity of franchise and never having missed a season of play. Franchise history The Nailers began play in 1981 in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League as the Carolina Thunderbirds based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The ICE Hockey League (International Central European Hockey League), known as the win2day ICE Hockey League for sponsorship reasons, is a Central European hockey league that also serves as the top-tier ice hockey league in Austria, it currently features additional teams from Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215).
