Desert King
Desert King (31 March 1994 – 11 August 2021) was a Thoroughbred horse racing, racehorse. Desert King won the Irish Derby Stakes and Irish 2,000 Guineas and was the sire of 13 stakes winners with 34 stakes wins including Makybe Diva (GB). He was a bay (horse), bay son of Danehill (horse), Danehill (USA) and he was inbred to Northern Dancer in the third generation (3m x 3f). Racing career Desert King was trained by Aidan O'Brien, and carried the colours of Michael Tabor. Christy Roche was his jockey for ten of his twelve lifetime starts. He started on 12 occasions, winning five races, and placing second in another five. His notable victories include the Vincent O'Brien Stakes, National Stakes, Irish 2,000 Guineas and Irish Derby Stakes. Danehill (March 26, 1986 – May 13, 2003) was an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who was the most successful sire of all time with 349 stakes winners and 89 Grade 1 winners. He was the leading sire in Australia nine times, the leading sire in Great Britain and Ireland three times, and the leading sire in France twice. Bay (horse)
Bay is a hair coat color of horses, characterized by a reddish-brown or brown body color with a black point coloration on the mane, tail, ear edges, and lower legs. Bay is one of the most common coat colors in many horse breeds. The black areas of a bay horse's hair coat are called "black points", and without them, a horse is not a bay horse. Black points may sometimes be covered by white markings; however such markings do not alter a horse's classification as "bay". His Majesty (April 17, 1968 – September 21, 1995) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse and top sire. Background His Majesty was bred by John W. Galbreath and raced under the colors of his Darby Dan Farm. Mr Dinos
Mr Dinos (foaled 14 April 1999) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire best known for his win in 2003 Ascot Gold Cup. After finishing second on his only start as a juvenile in 2001 he improved to become a top-class stayer in the following year. After winning two minor races in spring he was narrowly beaten in the Queen's Vase and the Northumberland Plate before recording his first major win in the Prix Berteux. In the autumn he finished only fifth in the St Leger but then won the Group One Prix Royal-Oak. He reached his peak in the first half of 2003 when he won the Henry II Stakes and then recorded an emphatic, six-length victory in the Gold Cup. Chelsea Rose (foaled 11 February 2002) is an Irish Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare. In a track career which lasted from June 2004 until September 2006 she raced in four different countries and won five races over distances ranging from six furlongs to one and a half miles. She showed very promising form as a juvenile in 2004 when she won two of her three races including the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. In the following year she failed in the Irish Oaks, her principal objective but recorded victories in the Silver Stakes, Ballyroan Stakes and Dance Design Stakes.
