Charles Hutchison
Charles Hutchison (December 3, 1879 – May 30, 1949) was an American film actor, director and screenwriter. He appeared in more than 40 films between 1914 and 1944. He also directed 33 films between 1915 and 1938. Though he directed numerous independent silent features, he is best remembered today as Pathé's leading male serial star from 1918 to 1922. In 1923 he went to Britain and made two films ''Hutch Stirs 'em Up'' and ''Hurricane Hutch in Many Adventures'' for the Ideal Film Company. He made one last serial in 1926, ''Lightning Hutch'', for distribution by the Arrow Film Corporation. It was meant to be a comeback vehicle, but the production company went into bankruptcy just as it was released. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and died in Hollywood, California. He was the person who convinced actor Karl Dane to return to films in the mid-1920s. Fred Church (actor)
Fred Rosewell Church (October 17, 1889National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Washington D.C.; Passport Applications, January 2, 1906 – March 31, 1925; ARC Identifier 583830 / MLR Number A1 534; NARA Series: M1490; Roll #1085 – January 7, 1983) was an American actor of the silent era. After entering vaudeville when he was a boy, Church became part of a double act that spent two years on the circuit. After touring the U.S. in vaudeville, he acted in repertory theater in the central western U.S., including the Selig Company in Chicago. In 1908, Church joined Gilbert M. 'Broncho Billy' Anderson in Western films for the latter's Essanay Studios. He appeared in more than 200 films between 1908 and 1935. From 1928 to 1930, he made six films billed as Montana Bill. Bill Patton (actor)
Bill Patton (June 2, 1894 – December 12, 1951) was an American actor of the silent and early sound eras. Born in Amarillo, Texas, he debuted in the film industry in ''The Boss of the Lazy Y'' in 1918. After small roles in several films, he received his first starring role in 1921's ''Outlawed''. Over the next six years he starred in more than 20 films. In 1927, he returned to smaller roles, which continued through the advent of talking pictures. His last performance on screen was in a small role in the classic ''The Picture of Dorian Gray'' in 1945. He died on December 12, 1951. Horace Murphy
Horace Murphy (June 3, 1880 – January 20, 1975) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 120 films between 1931 and 1953. Early years Born in Osceola, Arkansas, Murphy was playing cornet by age 11, and six years later led the band for the Newton Family Wagon Show. The next spring, he became the leader of a 45-piece band for the C.W. Parker Carnival Company. After two years in that position, he left to work in Dr. Rucker's Korak Wonder Medicine Show in order to be able to act in addition to leading the band. Radio Murphy played Will Kimble, the storekeeper, in ''Granby's Green Acres'', a radio show which was on CBS in the summer of 1950. He also had roles in several radio westerns, including Shorty on ''Gene Autry's Melody Ranch'', Clackity for one season of ''The Roy Rogers Show'', and Buckskin Blodgett on ''Red Ryder''.
