Derrick Alexander (wide Receiver)
Derrick Scott Alexander (born November 6, 1971) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1993 where he was selected as a first-team All-Big Ten receiver in both 1992 and 1993. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft and played nine seasons in the National Football League with the Cleveland Browns (1994–1995), Baltimore Ravens (1996–1997), Kansas City Chiefs (1998–2001), and Minnesota Vikings (2002). In 2000 Kansas City Chiefs season, 2000, he set a Kansas City Chiefs single-season record with 1,391 receiving yards. 2000 Kansas City Chiefs Season
The 2000 NFL season, 2000 season was the Kansas City Chiefs' 31st in the National Football League (NFL), their 41st overall and their second and final season under head coach Gunther Cunningham. They failed to improve on their 9–7 record from 1999 Kansas City Chiefs season, 1999 and finished the season 7–9, marked by a series of on and off-field struggles and incidents. The beginning of the season was marked on a somber note, as 9 time Pro Bowl Linebacker, team captain, and fan favorite Derrick Thomas died during the offseason. He was paralyzed in a January 23 automobile accident. In the accident, he was speeding on an icy Kansas City interstate while not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from his vehicle. A touchdown (abbreviated as TD) is a scoring play in gridiron football. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone. Todd Collins (quarterback)
Todd Steven Collins (born November 5, 1971) is a former American football quarterback. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan. Collins also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins. After beginning his career as the ''heir apparent'' to Jim Kelly and largely failing in that position, he spent the rest of his NFL career as a backup quarterback, spending several years serving behind Elvis Grbac and Trent Green of the Chiefs. The 1993 Illinois Fighting Illini football team was an American football team that represented the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign during the 1993 NCAA Division I-A football season. Elvis Grbac
Elvis M. Grbac (born August 13, 1970) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons, most notably with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played college football at Michigan, where he won the Sammy Baugh Trophy, and was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the eighth round in the 1993 NFL Draft. Grbac spent his first four seasons as a backup with the 49ers before playing his next four seasons as the Chiefs' starter. On the Chiefs, Grbac would help lead the team to two playoff berths and one division title, along with earning Pro Bowl honors in 2000. However, his tenure would also be known for a quarterback controversy with Rich Gannon during the 1997 season. An anterior cruciate ligament injury occurs when the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is either stretched, partially torn, or completely torn. The most common injury is a complete tear.
