Denzel Ramirez
Denzel Ramirez (born 22 December 1983) is a long-distance runner. He represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 2005 Central American and Caribbean Championships and the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games. He ran track with Colby Community College and Troy University. Running career Ramirez grew up with one parent in Chaguanas and took up athletic in 2002. He first represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 2005 Central American and Caribbean Championships, where he ran 33:25 in the 10,000 metres race. In collegiate competition Ramirez first ran for Colby Community College; in 2005 he was named Colby’s Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year and Academic All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association. Cleveland Forde
Cleveland Forde (born April 3, 1985), is a Guyanese track runner who specialized in various middle-distance and long-distance disciplines. Forde holds national records for Guyana in the 1500 metres and 5000 metres disciplines. He represented his country at the World Championships in Athletics in 2007, the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2007 and 2008, and the 2008 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships. He has also run for Guyana at the Commonwealth Games (2006, 2010) and the Pan American Games (2007). His sole senior international medal is a bronze at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention. The 10,000 metres or the 10,000-metre run is a common long-distance track running event. The event is part of the athletics programme at the Olympic Games and the World Athletics Championships, and is common at championship level events.
